1. Getting Started

The entire process is kicked off with classroom sessions by the heads of different functions covering in detail their operations, their structure and their future plans and roles to these Trainees. The top brass of the company avail themselves to answer any queries about the company.
 
This is followed by skill-building workshops to equip them to take on their respective roles. This covers areas like communication, functional training etc.

Mentors are assigned to each group of trainees to solve any queries related to any function and provide guidance. The selection of mentors is based on his experience and expertise in varied functions.

2. PLANT STINT

Once the new recruits get a feel of the company they are sent on their stints to learn what the company does and how. The areas covered are all manufacturing units .The

Objective of Plant Stint is to obtain an overview of the manufacturing processes, and understand the interface between people and Processes.

3. DEPOT STINT

Understanding our sales operations & customers

 Key Objectives 

  • Understand the market in which we operate.
     
  • Knowledge of product range.
     
  • Understand depot personnel activities:
     
  • Farmer meetings and complaint handling.
     
  • Policies on dealer opening, credit, stocks & service.
     
  • Understanding of the roles of executives and staff.

4. PROJECT TRAINING

Hands on Experience of solving/implementing key challenges.

Objectives        

  • To obtain an in-depth understanding of critical areas.
        
  • To brainstorm on various alternatives/approaches to improve existing systems/processes.
          
  • Implementation of the best cost effective feasible alternative.

 

Then the trainees are left to swim having equipped them well!

To summarize the essence of the Executive Trainee Program, it's an intensive and structured learning program that quickly prepares trainees to take on operational responsibilities so as to enable them to be effective in their role from day one.
